Exclusive: Priyanka Chopra Jonas on Her Career As an Actor and Producer_我的网站

一 | Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who has become one of the most recognisable Indian stars on the global stage, once gave deep insight into her journey and purpose as a producer in an exclusive interview with Filmfare. In a throwback look at that conversation, the actress spoke honestly about the challenges of building a career overseas and the motivations that guide her work today. When asked how her personal journey shapes her choices as a producer, Priyanka explained that her international success has come with many struggles and learning moments. She said, “I started working abroad and found success through big mountains and valleys. I don’t dwell on it much because I’m someone who just keeps moving forward and that inspires me. It’s not easy to start your life in a completely different country, in a completely different industry. I’m still navigating it.” Priyanka also shared that she still feels new to her English-language career and continues to learn every day. However, she said that her biggest focus is representing India with pride wherever she goes. “But pushing boundaries and pushing culture is very important to me. Wherever I go, India goes with me," she said. Talking about her production company, Purple Pebble Pictures, Priyanka explained that giving a platform to meaningful Indian stories is at the heart of her work. She said, “With my production house, I try to make sure stories and filmmakers from our diaspora who want to tell our stories get a platform.” She added that supporting women and young talent is a key part of her mission. “Whether it’s supporting women, or filmmakers from India who want an international platform… Whatever I can do to help get their stories and work out there, I try to do in my own small way.” Even with her global achievements, she remains humble, saying she doesn’t see herself as “super established” yet. Priyanka ended on a positive note, saying she is proud of the work Purple Pebble Pictures has done and the success it has brought to important stories. Also Read: Priyanka Chopra Jonas Gives a Powerful Shout-out to Janhvi Kapoor’s Message on Womanhood & Equality。

二 | Channing Tatum, Kirsten Dunst and Peter Dinklage headline the crime thriller Roofman, which is set for its OTT release soon. The Derek Cianfrance directorial is inspired by the real-life story of spree robber Jeffrey Manchester, who became infamous for breaking into his target locations by drilling through their roofs. He later made headlines after escaping from prison and hiding out in a toy store. Dinklage, who plays Mitch, the manager of a toy store, spoke about discovering the story and what connected him to the film. The Game of Thrones actor told us, "That’s what I love about what I do for a living, finding new stories, being introduced to new stories. And now that I know about it, I’ve read about it, obviously, since becoming part of the film. It’s such a fascinating story. And he (Jeffrey Manchester) was involved in filmmaking. Channing, they talked to each other, and Derek did as well. And to have that first-hand conversation with inspiration is invaluable." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Roofman (@roofmanmovie) He continued, "I just think it’s what Derek does best, is he gets very personal with each of the characters. He follows the heart. So, at the core of this, if I’m going to call it anything, it’s a love story. Because there’s really nothing without a love story in comedy or drama. Because without love, there’s nothing to risk. And with great risk comes all the inevitable pitfalls and downfalls and highs and lows." A lot of people who were involved in the real-life story of Manchester made cameos in the film. These include Charles Cummings, who drove the truck used by Manchester to escape prison, Katherine Scheimreif, Manchester's arresting officer and Chris Kimbell, a SWAT officer. Roofman releases exclusively on December 19 on Lionsgate Play. Also Read: Peter Dinklage talks about his The Hunger Games prequel character: “I love the tragedy…”。
